The Abbaye des Prémontrés is an 18th century architectural jewel. Between Metz and Nancy at the heart of the Grand Est region, Prémontrés Abbey is the most beautiful example of monastic architecture in Lorraine.

This site is a historical monument since 1919, in a setting of tone and lush greenery with a  cloister and  three glazed galleries in a U-shape, enclosed by a church with remarkable architectural features. It's long corridors lead to historical rooms, a stone exhibition area and luxurious staircases.

It is a unique site in the grand est region, Prémontrés Abbey has endured the centuries like a phoenix rising from its ashes. The site has been a cultural centre since 1964 and is today managed by an association whose mission is to protect its heritage, share its history and promote cultural encounters.

The Abbey has a surface area of 12,000 m² and 3 gardens of 2.5 hectares. Built between 1705 and 1735 by two Premonstratensian architects, the abbey was quickly admired for its elegant classical proportions and its baroque style, making it one of the most beautiful examples of monastic architecture in Lorraine.

The Premonstratensian community of Sainte-Marie-aux-Bois arrived in Pont-à-Mousson around 1608 and built the majestic abbey a century later. In the 19th century, the abbey was used by a minor diocesan seminary before serving as a civilian and military hospital beginning in 1912. The building was heavily damaged in 1944. In 1964, after considerable reconstruction, the abbey became a cultural centre for diverse activities.

You will have the pleasure to discover this unique venue during our gala dinner on June 14th. After a walk in the gardens for the aperitif, you will enjoy the dinner in the XVIIIth century abbey church and have a taste of the regional specialities.
